Connections to SQL Azure Databases

To view an existing connection:

» Select the connection from the Recent connections or Connections | SQL Azure menu in the Spotlight Browser.
» This opens the Spotlight Home Page. See "Spotlight on SQL Azure Home Page" (page 1) for more information.

To create a connection:

  1. Click Configure | Connections.

  2. In the Connection Bar on the left, click SQL Azure.
  3. Double-click Add new connection.

  4. Complete:

    Field Description
    Target SQL Azure Database

    Address

    Enter the URL used to link to a SQL Azure database.

    Database

    Enter the name of the database you want to connect to.
    User

    A valid user that enables Spotlight to connect to the target system.

    Password

    The password required to connect the specified user to the target system.
