Data Files Cylinder	The percentage of the used Oracle tablespace.
Online Files	The total number of online data files.
Online Tablespaces	The total number of online tablespaces.
Used	The total size of the used space in all online tablespaces.
Used %	The used space as a percentage of all online space.

Notes:

A number of alarms are associated with Database Files on Spotlight on Oracle. Those alarms are raised when applicable on the Spotlight on Oracle home page. They are not raised on the Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard home page.
(Oracle 11g Release 2 and later) Used and free calculations take into account space that is in the recycle bin that can be reclaimed if space is lacking.

Standby Logs

The cylinder filling effects the Recovery Time Objective. If the Primary goes down then Standby logs need to be applied before the Standby can replace the Primary. Refer to the value of Outstanding to determine how many logs are outstanding. Too many logs waiting to be applied raises the Outstanding Logs To Apply Alarm.

The portion of cylinder filled in is a proportion of the number of logs waiting to be applied against the number of Redo Log groups on the Primary. If there are three groups on the Primary then if one log was outstanding the cylinder would be a third full, two logs outstanding two thirds full, three or more logs outstanding the cylinder would be full.

Outstanding

The number of logs from the Primary that have not been applied to the Standby.

Outstanding Size

The size of logs from the Primary that have not been applied to the Standby.

Note: For a physical standby this data comes from v$archived_log. For a logical standby this data comes from dba_logstdby_log. The Outstanding size is not available for a logical standby.

Data flows

Data Files to Buffer Cache	The rate of physical reads as required by the Buffer Cache.
Buffer Cache to Database Writer to Data Files	The rate modified blocks are written to disk.
Standby Logs to the Apply Server to the Buffer Cache.	The rate of data sourced from the Standby logs to the Apply Server and then the Buffer Cache.
Remote File Server to the Standby Logs.	The rate of data written to disk by the Remote File Server processes from v$sesstat.

Note: This information is sourced from the Standby database if it is open. If the Standby is mounted (as in a physical standby without active Data Guard) the data is sourced from the primary as the information cannot be obtained from the standby and it must be the same as it is a physical copy.
