Online Redo Page

The Online Redo page displays information regarding the size and status of the online redo logs. The Online Redo chart is a graphical representation of the size of the redo logs in megabytes.

To open the Online Redo page

  1. Select the Spotlight on Oracle connection in the Spotlight Browser.
  2. Click Disk Storage | Online Redo.

The Grid

Control

Description

Sequence #

The system-allocated log sequence number.

Group #

The log group number.

Group status

The status of the group (unused, current, clearing, clearing_current, inactive). The information displayed in this column is derived from the 'v$log' table.

Archived

This column shows the archive status (yes or no) of the log file.

Member name

The name of the redo log member.

Member status

The status of this member (invalid, stale, deleted, in use). The information displayed in this column is derived from 'v$logfile'.

Size (MB)

The size of the log in megabytes.

First change #

A system-allocated number (SCN) identifying the first time a change was recorded in this log.

First time

The time at which the first SCN in the log was recorded.

Log switch rate

The amount of time it takes for this log to be used up.
