Migrate-FsContentUsingCsv

The Migration from CSV action can be run using the Migrate-FsContentUsingCsv cmdlet in PowerShell, instead of through the Content Matrix Console.

·CsvFilePath (Mandatory)

·JobConfigFilePath (Optional)

Note: Use this optional parameter if you want to run the migration using a custom migration configuration.

Examples

·To migrate using the default migration option, run the following command:

Migrate-FsContentUsingCsv -CsvFilePath "C:\Users\TestUser\Desktop \MigrateUsingCSVFile.csv"

·To migrate using the custom migration option, run the following command :
Migrate-FsContentUsingCsv -CsvFilePath "C:\Users\TestUser\Desktop \MigrateUsingCSVFile.csv" -JobConfigFilePath "C:\Users\TestUser\Desktop\Paste Folder As Document Library.xml"

Note: The PowerShell command creates a separate migration for each row in the CSV file. This differs from running Migration from CSV directly through the UI.

To use the  -JobConfigFilePath attribute

1.Launch File Share Edition.

2.Create a migration and configure it according to the migration requirements.

3.Save the migration job.

4.Right-click the saved job and select Export job configuration.
Export job configuration_Migrate-FsContentUsingCsv_FSE

5.Save the exported configuration file at the desired location. The file will be saved in XML format.

6.Copy the exported file path and use it with the PowerShell cmdlet as shown above.

Note: The Migrate from CSV option is  based on the Paste as Document Library action. Therefore, users are advised to export the custom configuration only from the following actions:
