DKMS will update the new kernel modules automatically. This may cause CPU and memory high usage that could lead the system to go into hung state and must be manually rebooted to resume normal operation.
Example of DKMS running autoinstall cause the system to hang.

The DKMS services can be stopped for this purpose so that the production systems can be operational until a maintenance window is available to update Kernel modules.
