By default the Repetition Reduction window can only be increased to 60 minutes via the GUI. This setting controls how frequently triggered events are sent to the configured notification email address.
For example, where a 60 minute window is configured a replication error that occurred at the start of the weekend would result in 24 email alerts being sent over this 48 hour period.
When attempting to increase this interval beyond 60 minutes the following notification is seen:
To increase the interval between which notifications are emailed take the following steps:
1) On the Core, open Regedit
2) Browse to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Events\EventsService\
CoreAlertsSettings\AlertsRepetitionReductionSettings
3) Click the RepetitionWindow key and change the value to the number of hours between which to suppress alerts (from the time which the initial alert was received). Eg. if the interval is set to 07:00:00 and an alert is received at 10:00am then assuming the problem is not corrected the next alert will not be received until 17:00 (5:00pm).
Please note - the relevant entry in the registry is expressed in hours however the GUI will display this value in minutes. As in the screenshot below where a value of 07:00:00 in the registry key will be represented as 420 minutes in the GUI.
