HyperV Plugin: VM does not restore -
Description
If a VM is recovered in a Windows 2008 R2 environment, the plug-in does not generate an error message but the VM does not appear to be restored, check the Windows Event Viewer for the following message:"Cannot load a virtual machine configuration. General access denied error" -
Cause
This is a product defect. -
Resolution
STATUS:
Enhancement request number 17332 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of NetVault Backup plugin for HyperV.
WORKAROUND:
Stop and start the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service and correct the network adapter. Also, if the VM is part of a failover cluster, you might have to re-create a role for the VM on the cluster. -
