STATUS:
Enhancement request number 17332 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of NetVault Backup plugin for HyperV.
WORKAROUND:
Stop and start the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service and correct the network adapter. Also, if the VM is part of a failover cluster, you might have to re-create a role for the VM on the cluster.
