This article outlines the current support status of VMware vSphere Virtual TPM (vTPM) in vRanger.
A Virtual Trusted Platform Module (vTPM), as implemented in VMware vSphere, is a virtualized version of a physical TPM 2.0 chip. It is enabled through VM Encryption and provides the same security functionalities as a physical TPM, but for virtual machines (VMs).
As of vRanger version 7.8.6, VMware vSphere Virtual TPM (vTPM) is not supported.
For the most up-to-date information regarding vRanger and VMware compatibility, please refer to the vRanger User Guide and Release Notes, which are available on the vRanger Technical Documents page.
