The purpose of this article is to provide a workaround to the error "Password should be at least 14 characters in FIPS mode" that occurs when connecting to PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB in Toad Edge.

해결 방안
Workaround
1. Close Toad Edge.
2. Open the ToadEdge.ini file. The location of the file depends on your operating system:
○ Windows: "Default: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad Edge\ToadEdge.ini"
○ MacOS: "<Default: /Applications/Toad Edge.app/Contents/eclipse/ToadEdge.ini"
3. In the ToadEdge.ini file, locate the line that specifies the "Dorg.bouncycastle.fips.approved_only" value.
4. Change the value of "Dorg.bouncycastle.fips.approved_only" to "false
5. Save the ToadEdge.ini file.
6. Start Toad Edge again and attempt to connect to the database.
