If you use a Linux-based NetVault Backup Server, the Incomplete Backup of All Items Selected option is enabled on a Full Backup even though the option is not applicable.

DNPSP-106 (18272, MSS‑77)

If double-byte characters are used in the directory specified for the Directory for Temporary Files, the backup fails.

DNPSP-26 (18192, MSS‑123)

If network issues occur between the NetVault Backup Server and NetVault Backup Heterogeneous Client where the plug-in is installed during backup or restore jobs, the job fails with “Plug-in died unexpectedly” errors. If this issue occurs, the STSADM process on the client where the plug-in is installed does not end. Use the Windows Task Manager to end this process before running the backup or restore job again.

 

System requirements

Before installing Plug‑in for SharePoint 11.3, ensure that your system meets the requirements outlined in the Quest NetVault Backup Compatibility Guide available at https://support.quest.com/technical-documents.

Upgrade and compatibility

Plug‑in for SharePoint 11.3 requires NetVault Backup 10.0 or later. For complete supported-platform information, see the Quest NetVault Backup Compatibility Guide.

Product licensing

To obtain the license key for your NetVault Backup Server environment, determine the NetVault Machine ID of your main NetVault Backup Server. Also identify the machine IDs of any clients running application plug-ins, such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Exchange.

You can use the NetVault Configuration Wizard to install the product license keys. Alternatively, you can install the license keys from the Manage Clients page.
