How to reset or restore the SQL Navigator Preferences to the default options or settings?
RESOLUTION 1:
Go to View menu | Preferences | click on the "Reset" button | and then click Yes on the Confirmation pop-up box.
RESOLUTION 2:
If you cannot access SQL Navigator or the Preferences screen, perform the following manual reset steps.
NOTE:
- You may lose your saved settings, preferences, and saved logon passwords.
- Ensure you have Administrator Rights in your PC.
1. Fully shut down or exit SQL Navigator.
2. Select Start | Run | type "regedit" | click OK.
3. On the left, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Quest Software | “SQL Navigator 7.x.x”.
Note: For SQL Navigator 7.2 and higher, use the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Dell | “SQL Navigator 7.2.x
4. Right mouse click the “SQL Navigator 7.x.x” folder and rename it to “SQL Navigator 7.x.x_OLD”.
NOTE: For older SQL Navigator versions i.e. 4.x.x, please rename the “SQL Navigator” folder as well.
5. Launch SQL Navigator, and everything should appear to be reset to factory defaults. Re-test the issue.
