My Analysis Group jobs are completed, but the only message I can see in the log file that looks like an error or problem is:
"Unicode translation will not be used for this database."In Space Manager 6.2, my Analysis Group logs normally say the following:"Unicode translation character set is AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8"I am also wondering if the entry in the Quest logs are due to not having UNICODE in the Oracle DB I am analyzing/reorganizing? The nls_lang = AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII rather than one of the UNICODE character sets. If that is the case then the log entry makes sense.

The database character set is USASCII, therefore we do not need to translate the script into UNICODE in order to parse the commands in the script.
The QSA version 6.2.0 is very old and it included support for multi-byte character sets. Soon after the release, someone said how do I know if the commands in the script will be converted to UNICODE? This sparked a fierce debate, and in order to bring peace, we have added the following to the script execution log:"Unicode translation will not be used for this database."This means that we will not translate the commands in the script to UNICODE. Why? because it is not needed. If there was a problem with character set conversions, QSA will fail with a fatal error.
