This knowledge base article describes how to delete the blksnap folder on agentbased protected Linux servers.
In certain scenarios you may need to delete blksnap folder. When snapshots are taken on a Linux agent, the .blksnap folder takes that image and stores it in a datastore contained within the volume. When AppAssure/Rapid Recovery takes a snapshot, the data is loaded into memory. If there is an insufficient amount of memory, the data is temporarily dumped into this storage folder, thus the need for at least 15% of free space on the partition. For more information about this folder functionality please refer to knowledge base article 117593
When the Rapid Recovery agent is installed, a "blksnap" folder will be created on each volume mount point. In order to know the volume mountpoints you can run commands like "df -h". Mountpoints will be listed under "Mounted on" column. This is a hidden folder so it wont be listed if you run "ls" command without "-a" or "-al" paramenter.
