QoreStor service won't start after var volume get full. (4044916)

QoreStor is not operational. Access to media containers and CIFS shares cannot be established. Rebooting the server won't resolve the problem.

Running df -h show that var file system was full. Inside var, QoreStor and Linux OS store their logs. Moreover, QoreStor store the diagnostics bundles requires to troubleshoot issue with the system. Please notice that depending on the configuration, a different mounted file system could be full and will cause problems starting QoreStor services.

Check your disk space use with the Linux df command

To resolve the problem, please consider the following options:

• Manually delete not longer required logs files on /var/log or /var/diagnostics_logs using the rm command
• Delete all previously collected diagnostics bundles by running the command: /opt/qorestor/bin/maintenance --diags --delete_all
• Expanding the var volume adding more space in the volume group if it is configured using VLM

Reboot the server after storage space has been cleared in the var file system.
