Multi-volumes NDMP backup fail with:
"Unable to logon to auditor, check account and password are valid".
Running single volume NDMP jobs completes successfully.
By default NDMP subjobs created by NetVault for each volumes, run a the NVBU user called 'default' with no password.
If the 'default' NVBU user has been given a password, all sub jobs will start failing as the account details for the NDMP APM have not been set.
Here are the steps to address this issue:
A) Simply reset the NVBU 'default' user account to make sure its password is left blank.
B) If a password is needed for the 'default' user, then make sure the NDMP Client plugin is updated with the new password as follows:
1. In the NetVault Web Ui open the Create Backup window, and then open the backup server
2. Locate the 'NDMP Client' APM and click on it
3. Select 'Set Account' from the pop-up menu
4. Enter the Account Name of the NetVault User which runs the NDMP job/s (default or other)
5. Select the 'New Password' check-box and enter the password for the user
6. Press OK
