A reverse domain pair is when, in addition to a source->target pair, a target->source pair is also created. The same is also possible in the Exchange Data side of Migration Manager, with the source org being added again as a target, and vise versa.

These configurations are NOT supported due to the added complexity and potential risk associated with them. Most if not all of the functionality they offer is already available in Migration Manager, making them unnecessary.
If you have such a setup that was deployed by Professional Services, please contact them, or your Account Manager, for assistance.
There have been major issues that have been seen when these types of configurations are in place. The most recent, is that Migration Manager is not able to properly perform a revert of Windows Profiles within Resource Updating Manager.
