Does Resource Updating Manager (RUM) Support Windows 10?

Windows 10 workstations are supported in Migration Manager for Active Directory versions 8.12 and later.  However, due to changes in Windows 10, there are some limitations that may require changes to migration procedures when processing Windows 10 workstations.

Workstations running previous versions of Windows can be processed by RUM without affecting the source user.  The source user can continue to log in to the source profile as long as is required.  This is no longer the case with Windows 10.  

Please consider the following when planning to process and move Windows 10 workstations to the target domain:

• After processing a Windows 10 workstation, a source user can no longer log in to their profile.  If they attempt to do so, a blank profile will be created.
• If a Windows 10 workstation is processed while the source user is logged in, the user can continue using the profile until they log out.  If they then attempt to log into the source again, a blank profile will be created.
• CAUTION: Do not perform revert of a local user profile while the target user is logged on. Otherwise, the Start menu may not work for that local user profile. If this happens, you will not be able to fix the Start menu for the affected profile.
• Remote desktop services 2016 is also affected by this issue.
• If there's a considerable delay (30-45 min or more) between RUM Processing and Move Tasks, user may get a new profile when logging into the target domain.
