FAQ - What TCP ports does GME require if migrating from a firewalled GW client workstation. (4272040)

GME has been installed in the same network as the Exchange target but there is a firewall between this network and the source Groupwise Post office. What ports need to be opened for this configuration to work?

Edirectory access, requires connectivity from the Groupwise client Workstation on these TCP ports:

• 524 for NCP
• 389 for LDAP
• 636 for Secure LDAP

Groupwise in general requires the TCP ports to be opened, listed below but it may be possible to just open TCP/1677 for client access purposes.

• 7101 Default POA Message Transfer Port
• 7181 Default POA HTTP Port
• 7100 Default MTA Message Transfer Port
• 7180 Default MTA HTTP Port
• 8200 Default Monitor Agent Port
• 9850 Default GWIA Web Console Monitor Port
• 995 Secure (SSL) for POP3
• 993 Secure (SSL) for IMAP4
• 25 Secure (SSL) for SMTP
• 7205 WebAccess application default inbound Port to WebAccess application
