There might be times when looking at the patches installed on a device (control panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates) that some patches are listed but when comparing with Patching Detect/Deploy Status (from Inventory > Devices > Device Detail > Security) it could be possible that some of the patches might not even appear in the list.
This is because "Patching Detect/Deploy Status" will only display results from patches detected or deployed by the agent, in other words, if the patch has not been included in a patch label on any Patch Schedule then it won't appear on the list for "Patching Detect/Deploy Status" section as there are no detect results for the signature of the patch.
When the device is collecting the inventory information and scanning for installed software, the installed patches will be categorized as "Patches Reported Installed in Software Inventory" from the Software section of the device inventory. This will list all patches installed on the device regardless they were installed or not by the agent.
