The following turtorial video describes how the new connector, in Toad Data Point v3.3, enables users to access Microsoft Analysis Services cubes and map queries against these cubes, which then can be used within the product as part of SQL queries, just like any other data source. -

A cube needs to be turned into a query, in order to be used in the Query Builder or SQL Editor. To turn the cube into a query...
1) Right click on the cube in the Object Explorer's Cubes tab and select View Details.
2) In the Cube Viewer, you will see all the Dimensions and Measures avialable within the cube. Select a Dimension on left side of viewer and drop it into workspace and a Measure to go with it and drop it in the workspace as well.
3) Hit the Refresh button, so you can see the data that belongs with in the query just built.
4) The query can be saved at this time or you can continue to add more information, if wanted, but selecting more Dimension and Measures and adding them to the grid.
5) Once you have the data you want, you can refresh data again to see it or save the data without refreshing.
6) Once the data is saved, you will see the query for it in the Queries tab in the Object Explorer. That query can be used to create a query using the Query Builder or SQL Editor. -
