You have one or more partitions on a protected machine that won't show up as a volume to add into protection.
Viewing the affect volumes X:\System Volume Information folder, no AppAssure or Rapid Recovery files are present, such as AALog, AAData.md and AAFailover.md (as illustrated in the screenshot below).
Agent logs contains this error:

On Agent machine;
Open 'This PC'
Right click on the affected Partition | Properties | Security
Click on 'Edit'
Add SYSTEM to have full access to the volume.
Restart the Agent service.
The X:\System Volume Information folder should now be populated with the above mentioned files.
Go back to the Core, refresh metadata. You should now see the volume that was previously missing.
