Physical Client backups fail. Server shows in Inventory view with a Red dot. Removing and readding or uninstall and reinstall of the client software does not resolve the issue.

This has been seen in instances where a previous backup job failed and did not exit cleanly. When looking at Task Manager on the Physical Client server you will see a process called backup.exe or backup.exe *32. This is the process that vRanger uses to do the backups and should not be running if no backup job is running in the vRanger console.
