Errors monitoring Oracle 19c non-cdb database in Oracle 7.3.2.11 cartridge (4379056)

An Oracle 19c non-cdb database cannot be added for monitoring and the message "For the value “NON-CDB”, no view is set" in red for existing agents after upgrading the Oracle cartridge to 7.3.2.11

View error and missing privileges.

WORKAROUND

Please follow the attached Word document for steps on how to update the view for this issue for existing agents. Users must be logged into Supportlink to download the attachment. 

• If the Oracle cartridge prior to the issue being fixed in the cartridge, the workaround must be reapplied to the system.
• The Foglight user must have the "Cartridge Developer" role to make the view changes in the system.   

For new agents, 

Grant the following missing privileges to the database agent account used for monitoring.

GRANT SELECT ON v_$database TO MONITORING_USER
-- OR (recommended for monitoring users) --
GRANT SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE TO MONITORING_USER

This issue has been logged as defect FOG-11023 and will be fixed in an upcoming release of the Oracle cartridge.
