Green represents CPU Usage from the resource breakdown. All of the colors should become opaque together during the same times.
The light color usually means there were breaks in the data and it was unavailable.
Data is collected every second from SQL PI, if there is data during each minute it will be displayed with a darker green (or blue, etc. depending the resources used.)
- From 12pm until 12:15pm the chart is solid, this represents data was collected every minute during that period (agent was running normally)
- From 12:15pm through 12:22pm, no collections were run (maybe the agent was off or the FglAM was down)
- It looks like between 12:22pm and 12:23pm there a successful (average active requests) collection run, but the results were 0, so the trend dropped down to 0 (maybe the agent was briefly restarted)
- Then from 12:22pm to 12:45pm, no collections were run
- Then at 12:45pm, the agent was running again, so a collection was run and data was collected during that minute with a .1
- Then from 12:45pm to 12:52pm, no data was collected
- Then at 12:52pm, there was a brief collection with a 0 result,
- Then sometime after 12:58pm, the agent was started up again but we can't see this in the drilldown range
Here is another example
- The agent was turned on until 9:15am,
- then turned off from 9:15-9:20,
- then turned on very briefly at 9:20am
- then turned off again until 9:25am with higher workload added to the host
