Foglight Agent Manager Installation Fails Due to Invalid URL (4380204)

During the installation of the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM), the application fails to launch, and the installer GUI does not appear. The following error message was observed in the installation log:

ERROR [Startup Thread] com.quest.glue.core.Glue - An invalid server URL was provided. Please check that the URL settings are correct and try again.
java.net.MalformedURLException: The URL attribute is required but was not provided.

The URL configured for Foglight Management Server (FMS) is incorrectly formed.

1. Verify that the FMS URL is correctly defined in the fglam-installer.config file included with the FglAM installer package. The URL should follow one of the standard formats below:
   • https://<fms_server>:8443
   • http://<fms_server>:8080
2. Ensure there are no typo errors such as an extra period or incorrect port number. Remove any trailing dots after the domain name if present.

Note: The URL can be updated in the CATALYST_URL registry variable then re-download the FglAM installer from the Foglight console.
