Store management message policies are used to manage the mail server store and determine how long messages remain on the mail server. These policies can be used to reduce the size of the mail server store, to maximize the benefits of the storage efficiencies enabled by Archive Manager. Policies can be set either across the organization or on a user-by-user basis.
A Delete Policy can be setup in Archive Manager, whereby you can delete emails after so many days, weeks, months and years.
Additionally the Policy can act upon certain criteria i.e. Mail store, Mailbox, Group and OU.

You can also narrow the email(s) down by adding a Message Tag and then use that Message Tag within the Delete Policy.

Note: Policies are executed in the hierarchical top-to-bottom order. You can reorder the process hierarchy by using drag-and-drop to move the policy items. Click and drag the grip at the left corner of a policy item.
Messages pertaining to policies higher in the list are executed first and then subsequently ignored by policies lower down in the list.
This provides a conflict resolution strategy allowing items to be kept safe by capturing them within a Keep policy and placing it at or near the top of the list.
