Error during sharepoint discovery (4379620)

When doing discovery of SharePoint sites, Error collecting Object StausCode 404 Reason phrase: Not Found version 1.1 Content System.net.http.streamcontent, Headers:

That error is caused by a the SharePoint CSOM API rejecting the connection, the SharePoint tenant app needs an additional permission to access it.

Workaround

Here are the steps to add the permission in the Azure portal:

1. Go to portal.azure.com and log in to the target tenant
2. Open "App Registrations" to the "All Applications" tab (link)
3. Search for an application that starts with "Quest Enterprise Reporter SharePoint Online Discovery" (if more than one exists, look for an entry that has the ER server computer name at the end, and has the newest creation date)
4. Open the application to "Manage" > "API permissions" tab
5. Select "Add Permission"
6. Select "Sharepoint"
7. Select "Delegated Permissions"
8. Select "AllSites.FullControl"
9. Click the "Add Permissions" button
10. Click "Grant admin consent for Quest Software", or have an admin provide consent for new app permission

Once complete you must reauthenticate any credentials used for SharePoint in Configuration Manager.
