Shares not being created when migrating file and folder from one Windows server to another
Description

When migrating file(s) and folder(s) from one Windows server to another, the shares on the source are not removed and created on the target. The “migrate file shares to destination servers” and the “Use volume shadow copy service on the local source paths to ensure open file are copied” options are enabled and configured.
Cause

The "Use volume shadow copy services on the local source paths to ensure open file are copied” allows Secure Copy
to retrieve the source files from a snapshot rather than the live data. The snapshot does not store information about the shares, so no shares are migrated.
Resolution

Uncheck "Use volume shadow copy services on the local source paths to ensure open file are copied” and rerun the copy job.
