When trying to open a Archived attachment in Outlook you will get the following error:
Error restoring part 1 (IPM.Note.AfterMail:xxx): Outlook Form: Error 500: Unexpected content type in HTTP response: text/html; charset=utf-8
Attachments open fine in the AM website
Problems with Outlook Forms
Forms for Quest Archive Manager have not been published
Bad temp files in Temporary Internet Files (or directory full)
Archive Manager site is not in Internet Explorer Trusted Sites
Automatic Login is not enabled for Internet Explorer
User is attempting to open archived messages in a shared mailbox but scripts for public folders and shared mailboxes is not enabled
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
1. From with in the Archive Manager Administration Console go to Download Tools and download the latest form.
2. On the client that is having issues go to Programs and Features and and remove any other Outlook Forms
3. Copy the OutlookForm.msi package that you downloaded to the machine that is having the issue.
4. Close Outlook.
5. Hold down Shift and Right click on the msi and select run as administrator and install the package.
If the above steps do not resolve your issue please check the following.
6. With in Internet explorer clear your Temporary Internet files and cookies
7. Make sure the archive Manager URL is in the Local Internet site and in the trusted sites with in Internet Explorer.
8. In Outlook can you make sure the Allow scripts in shared folders is checked? Below is how to find this information.
A. On the "File" menu, click "Options"
B. Click "Trust Center | Trust Center Settings".
C. In the Left Pane, click "E-mail Security".
D Check the "Allow script in shared folders" and the "Allow script in Public Folders" options located under "Script in Folders".
Verify that Automatic login with current user name and password is selected below is how to access it in IE.
A. Go to internet properties
B. Select Security Tab
C. Scroll down to the bottom and make sure Automatic login with current user name and password is selected.
