How to Map a Drive letter to the KACE SMA appliance from Windows (4305943)

Enable SAMBA Share (Single ORG SMA)

1. Click Settings | Security Settings
2. Locate the section Samba
3. Check the box to Enable file sharing
   
4. Set the password
5. Click Save and Restart Services
6. Confirm that services will restart
7. Services will restart

Enable SAMBA Share (ORG enabled SMA)

1. Log into the System UI
2. Go to Settings | Security Settings
3. Locate the section Samba
4. Check the box to Enable organization file shares 
5. Click Save and Restart Services
6. Confirm that services will restart (Click Yes)
7. Services will restart
8. Log over to each desired ORG that needs Samba enabled
9. Go to Settings | General Settings
10. Locate the section Samba Share Settings
11. Check the box to Enable File Sharing
12. Set the password
13. Click Save

Mapping a drive via Windows 10:

1. Open Windows File Explorer
2. Click on Computer
3. Click Map Network Drive at the top
4. Select your Drive Letter
5. Use the following for folder: \\IporHostnameofSMA\clientdrop
6. Leave Reconnect at signin checked
7. Click Finish
8. Add credentials (user = admin and password was set above while enabling Samba)

Mapping a drive via Command Line:

1.  Open Command Line.  Type net use * \\IporHostnameofSMA\clientdrop /user:admin .
2. If that fails the try three commands in order to delete old entries and recreate a new one:

   net use \\k1000\clientdrop /delete    net use \\k1000\client /delete    net use K: \\k1000\clientdrop /user:admin 

 Where K: is the letter you want to map for the share.
