How to Move Backups from One Path to Another -
Description
Customers may request to move their backup store. -
Cause
Drive is running out of space, new drive for storage -
Resolution
1. Copy or move all desired backups to the new location.
2. In the RMAD console, on the left hand top side, right click on Recovery Manager for Active Directory and click Settings.
3. Change the Default backup location on the General tab to the new path.
4. Change the Unpacked backups folder to the new path.
5. Click ok.
6. The individual collections will pick up the new path from the global settings you just changed.
7. Right click on Backups on the left hand side and select Register Backup, then Register Bacups in Folder....
8. Browse to the new path and click OK. The Media Cataloging wizard will begin.
9. When finished, click Close.
The backups have now been moved and re-registered with the RMAD database.
