CAUTION: Incorrectly editing the registry may severely damage your system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on the computer.
- On the SQL Server instance used to store Recovery Manager database, locate the following database:
RecoveryManager-Reporting- - Rename this database to the desired name
- On the RMAD server, do the following:
- In the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Quest\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\Setup registry key, modify the SqlDatabaseReporting value data to replace the SQL Server database name with the one you specified in step 2 of this procedure
- In the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Quest\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\DBReporting registry key, modify the DB value data to replace the SQL Server database name with the one you specified in step 2 of this procedure
- In the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Quest\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\DBReporting registry key, modify the ConnectionString value data to replace the SQL Server database name in the DATABASE=substring with the name you specified in step 2 of this procedure
We also need to perform the previously mentioned registry changes under the following node:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Quest\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\
If you are using Recovery Manager for AD Forest Edition or Disaster Recovery Edition, it is currently not possible to change the name of the ForestRecovery-Persistence database used by the FR console.
