Inventory data for agent managed devices is added to the KACE Systems Management Appliance (KACE SMA) by the agent. Each agent managed device will periodically collect different types of inventory information and send them to the KACE SMA. The inventory information is parsed and added to the appropriate sections of the database.
Knowing the steps completed during inventory may assist with understanding and troubleshooting for multiple agent inventory and communication situations.

Note: The agent will continue to periodically message its AMP connection status to the KACE SMA to confirm connectivity, but will not complete all of the above steps until the next scheduled inventory interval.
