Starting in version 12.0 of the KACE Systems Management Appliance, you can now configure the appliance to use cloud-based off-board backup such as the Microsoft Azure Blob or Amazon S3 Bucket. This requires an MS Azure or Amazon S3 account, as applicable.
This article discusses how to configure Offboard backup using the Azure Blob Storage option or Amazon S3 Bucket.
1. Go to the Azure portal
2. Create a new Storage account, or you can use one of your current Storage Accounts
NOTE: When configuring the Azure Blob Storage account, be sure to set the routing preference to "Internet routing" to avoid frequent disconnects if you leave the default setting of "Microsoft network routing".
3. From within the Storage Account, create a container
4. Go to the KACE SMA AdminUI (if ORGs are enabled, SystemUI)
5. Navigate to "Settings" | "Backup Settings and Restore"
