Invalid Shortname error when uninstalling RMADFE with remove AD Backups enabled

When attempting to completely uninstall Recovery Manager for AD Forest Edition with a check mark to "remove AD backups" an error would occur:

"<servername.domain.com> is an invalid shortname"

The directory names are the fully qualified name but Recovery Manager only shows the hostname in the sample path and file name matching the provided format. You are forced to perform the uninstall without checking the "remove AD backups" option. After the uninstall it would then be necessary to open the directory location and delete the backups directory manually.

In the Backups.mdb there are backups from the console and domain controllers. Backups of the console have a local path, and backups of domain controllers have a unc-path. During the uninstall of RMAD FE the delete process takes all registered backups from Backups.mdb and marks them to be deleted. Then it takes all files from the local backup storage of the console and marks them to be deleted too. After all manipulations the MSI deletes all files, which were marked for deletion and commits the uninstall transaction.

Manual removal of the backups is required at this time. This issue has the following enhancement request created for consideration to be included in a future version of the application:

PT102165456 - Enhancement request to have additional options added when uninstalling. To add the option to remove just the console backups, DC backups, none or both.
