Description
A post install task created with an attached zipped file does not run. -
Cause
The post install tasks run the zipped files directly and can not change into a folder contained within the zip file. -
Resolution
Check to see if the zip file contains a folder as the root of the archive. If it does, recreate the zip file with the executable files in the root of the archive (zip) and upload to the task.
After unzipping you have this:
Move program files from the folder into the root directory:
Remove the folder (ProgramX), recreate the zip file with the executable's in the root of the archive, using 7zip rather than Windows built-in zip functionality. Then upload the new zip file to the task.
