When attempting to restore an object, you receive the following error:
"Operation completed with error"
"Failed to initialize reporter: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied."
Confirm the database exists and is online. The database name and SQL server that RMAD is configured to use can be found in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quest\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\DBReporting
Confirm the account you are running the Online Restore Wizard as has db_owner rights
A simple way to resolve this issue is to create a new database. This can be accomplished by uninstalling and reinstalling the Report Component.
