KACE Samba Credentials issue -
Description
Samba share is inaccessible. Windows may be passing along local machine or domain information along with supplied credentials. This will prevent proper authentication to the KACE Samba share. If you are attempting to access the KACE samba share and are getting a message that access is denied, it may be that Windows is passing along local machine or domain information with your supplied credentials. -
Resolution
Place a \ before your username so that 'admin' becomes \admin. This prevents Windows from supplying local or domain information along with your credentials and should allow you to authenticate to your Samba share.
NOTE: by providing \ before your username makes the domain field in the dialog box display as empty.
