The Spotlight on Messaging console is not discovering new servers. And in the Spotlight on Messaging console on the Discovery Status tab you see the following errors.
Windows API function (DsGetDcName) failed because 'The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted'
Windows API function (DsGetDcName) failed because 'Access is denied'
The service account is denied access to the configured Domain Controller used to enumerate the Organization.
Follow the steps below to trouble shoot this issue
1. In the Spotlight on Messaging Console, right click on your Server Name and select Properties.
2. Change the Server Name to the domain name and click OK.
3. Right click on your Exchange Organization name and select Force Discovery now and ensure that it completes successfully.
Try the step below to verify that we can connect to your domain
1. Go to the Start | Run and type in your \\domainname and you should be able to see the netlogon and sysvol folders. If you cannot see this and get an error this is a Windows native issue and you will need to resolve this before we will be able to Discovery your Exchange Environment.
