Secure Copy 6.0x - How to enable debugging in Secure Copy (4267209)

The information in this article applies to:

Secure Copy 6.0x and Evaluation Mode in 6.5x

If unknown errors occur there are times when debug logging needs to be enabled, and/or Quest Software support has requested log files.

On the Secure Copy console machine, open the Registry Editor (regedit) and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ScriptLogic Corporation\Secure Copy\v6\Settings

• Add the Debug string value and set it to “True”

• Change the LoggingMode value to “3”

If Quest Software Support has requested logs and files please send SecureCopy.ssd, SCYDLLDebug[Date_Time].log, and SCYLog.txt which are located in the Secure Copy 6 install folder (default location on 64 bit OS is C:\Program Files\ScriptLogic Corporation\Secure Copy 6).
