Description
When the Secure Copy application loads "Root element is missing" dialog box is displayed. -
Cause
Corrupted SecureCopy.ssd file. -
Resolution
Rename the SecureCopy.ssd file and restart the Secure Copy application.
The default location for version 7.x is:
C:\Program Files\Dell\Secure Copy 7
The default location for version 6.x is:
C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Secure Copy 6
NOTE: Prior to making changes to the SecureCopy.ssd file, which contains the saved jobs, backup the file.
