How to Uninstall a Windows Application Patch when Rollback Feature is not available. (4257908)

Support does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry. The Windows registry contains information critical to your computer and applications. Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it. For more information on the Windows Registry Editor and how to back up and restore it, refer to Microsoft Article ID 256986.

This is a simple script using the following Application Patch as an example to remove "Application Patches" where WUSA won't work to remove patch through a script.

• Name: Uninstall Windows Application Patch
• Enabled: Check
• Deployment set to a Test machine in your environment
• Supported Operating System: Choose Microsoft Windows
• Dependencies: 
  • None
• On Task 1:
  • On Success: Run a batch File....
  • Script Name: Run Once
  • Batch file:
    msiexec.exe /package {90140000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE} /uninstall {70DAB69D-244C-403A-9C0F-CB7748CD2991} /qn /norestart

NOTE: Make sure to search for the Package ID of the patch you wish to uninstall. This script is intended to remove the application patch silently.
