While installing Archive Manager installation fails displaying a yellow question mark (?) next to the item 'Installing Remote Services' in the Installation Progress window. The installation logs show the following error:
"Error installing the product: Unable to install remote install service on server <SERVERNAME>. Can't continue"
A number of reasons could be the cause of this behaviour:
- the installer is already running. Run Task Manager and ensure there are no other instances of msiexec.exe running
- ensure the required permissions are met
- check if realtime antivirus is running on any of the servers where the product is installed. If it is then disable it.
