Cause
In versions of Archive Manager subsequent to version 4.1, the account running the Active Directory Connector Service must have "Exchange View-Only Administrator" at the Exchange Organization Level.

Resolution
To Configure Exchange 2003
For the AD Connector to pick up the storage groups and mailstores, the"view-only" (or greater) controls must be delegated to the service useron the relevant administrative group in Exchange System Manager(required for both Exchange 2000 and 2003). For Exchange 2000 and2003, complete the following steps:
1. Run Exchange System Manager.2. Right-click the Exchange Organization name and select Delegate Control from the shortcut menu.3. On the Welcome screen on the Exchange Administration Delegation of Control Wizard click Next.4. On the Users or Groups screen, click the Add button.5. On the Delegate Control screen click Browse and specify the ArchiveMgr_Service account.6. Select Exchange View Only Administrator (or higher) role from the Role drop-down list and click OK.7. Click Next and then Finish to apply your changes and exit the wizard.To Configure Exchange 2007
1. Open the Exchange Management Console.2. Right-click the Organization Configuration node.3. Select "Add Exchange Administrator".4. On the "Add Exchange Administrator" screen, click the Browse button that is next to the "Select the user or group to add as an Exchange administrator" text field.5. On the "Select User or Group to Delegate" screen, select the ArchiveMgr_Service user.6. Click OK.7. In the "Select the role and scope of this Exchange administrator" option list, select the "Exchange View-Only Administrator" role option.8. If you have multiple servers, add all servers that Archive Manager will archive to the "Select the server(s) to which this role has access" list box.9. Click Add.10. Click Finished. -
