While trying to start the Archive Manager DataLoader service, you receive the following error:
"Could not start the Archive manager Data Load Service on Local Computer "
and/or
"Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified "
A possible reason for this error would be that the service is not able to find the exe file that it points to. In this case the Archive Data Load Service.exe file. If this file is missing, has been removed, or is corrupt then the service will not start up and the applicable error will be displayed.
To resolve this issue, simply reinstate the missing file. You can do so by restoring the files from backup, reinstall the application through the installer (which will recreate the services and the executables), or copy the file from another Archive Manager instance assuming that it is running the same version.
The default location for the executable file is C:\Program Files\Quest Software\ArchiveManager
