To manually upgrade the Spotlight on Messaging 7.4 database:

From the location where you extracted the Spotlight on Messaging 7.5 installation package, copy the following folder to the SQL server that hosts the SpotlightManagementFramework database: \DatabaseScripts\UpgradeScripts

Open SQL Server Management Studio

Make a backup of your current SpotlightManagementFramework database

From SQL Server Management Studio click File | Open | File and browse to the location where you copied the UpgradeScripts folder from step 1. Open the 74_to_741 folder and open and run the following SQL scripts against the SpotlightManagementFramework database in the following order:

UpgradeSchema2.sql

UpgradeData.sql
-
Click File | Open | File, open the 741_to_75 folder and open and run the following SQL scripts against the SpotlightManagementFramework database in the following order:

UpgradeSchema1.sql

UpgradeSchema2.sql
-
UpgradeData.sql

Once the database has been upgraded, log into the Spotlight on Messaging server using the Spotlight on Messaging service account

Run the installer, select Custom and do not select the database portion
-
Once Spotlight on Messaging has been upgraded to 7.5, install the new license:

Open Spotlight on Messaging console
-
Navigate to the top node of tree - Spotlight on Messaging

Select the Plug-In Information Tab
-
Right click the Exchange component and click Update License
