When trying to export email from Archive Manager using the Search Exporter utility you receive the following error:
"Error Message.
Failed to request Web Service.
If you still encounter this problem, please contact your Reseller or Archive Manager team."
This error is typically caused because the Archive Manager website is not operating on port 80.
When the '.AMEXP' file is generated from a search it automatically defaults to port 80.
Please make sure you have saved the ".AMEXP" file somewhere on your system. If not export your search again and save the file to your desktop.
1) Open the .AMEXP file in notepad.
2) You will see something similar to the following format in the file:
"<?xml version= "1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<AfterMailSearchStub xmlns:xsd="http//www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http//www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<SearchIdentifier>6e1c73174e8d42c19e057e6fa421b57c</SearchIdentifier>
<Server>archivemanager</Server>
<Port>80</Port>
<Username>Administrator</Username>
<Domain>cs-chd</Domain>
<AuthenticationMode>Windows</AuthenticationMode>
</AfterMailSearchStub>"
3) Where is says <Port>80</Port> change the port number to reflect the port number which the Archive Manager web site is using.
4) Close and save the file.
5) Double click on the .AMEXP file to re-launch the Search Exporter utility and export the email from Archive Manager.
