When running the Retention Policy Editor you receive the following error when logging in - Error message: The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable.
The password has been changed for the account running the Archive Manager Retention Policy Editor Service. This causes the ArchiveManagerRetentionAppPool to fail.
If you have changed the password for the account which runs the Archive Manager Retention Policy Editor Service. It also needs to be changed in the properties for the ArchiveManagerRetentionAppPool in IIS.
1. Open IIS on the Server where the Archive Manager web site is installed.
2. Expand Application Pools
3. Right click on ArchiveManagerRetentionAppPool and choose properties
4. Click on the Identity tab
5. Type in the new password hit enter, it will ask you to re-type the password.
6. Click Apply and Click OK.
7. Run an IISRESET from the Run command
8. Re-launch the Retention Policy Editor and try to log in again.
