Manually install Vmware tools on a VA -
Description
You need to manually deploy a VA, and install the VMware tools.

Cause
Auto deploy wizard may fail or you may want to manually deploy a VA.

Resolution
1. Make sure you have a cd device connected to the VM and attached to the client device.
2. From the VI Client, right-click on the virtual appliance. Click Guest, then Install/Upgrade VMware Tools.
3. At the prompt of the Virtual appliance, enter /root/bin/install_vmware_tools.sh.
Caution: No input is necessary for the VMware Tools installation. All prompts will be answered by the installer script.
The installer script will install VMware Tools. The installation is complete when you see the message:
Configuration has completed successfully, you must restart for changes to take effect.
